Justin Bieber’s about to fly high.

According to the New York Post, Richard Branson, billionaire head of Virgin, has announced that the tween heartthrob, and his agent, Scooter Braun, were ready to launch aboard the Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShipTwo rocket plane, at $200,000 a ticket.

To which the Biebz replied:

Maybe he sounds better from 360,000 feet in the air.

Branson hopes the ship will launch from New Mexico around Christmas of this year, six passengers and two pilots at a time. According to the Post, the trip to and back from space lasts around two and a half hours.

Each passenger must undergo three days of space training, which hasn’t deterred 65,000 from putting their name down as candidates. Other celebrities reported to have purchased tickets include Stephen Hawking, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, and Ashton Kutcher.
